The pre-candidate for the presidency of FC Barcelona announces the incorporation of Jordi Codina Font and Jordi Collderram Torrens, both with backgrounds in engineering, the real estate sector, and governance
Movements among the pre-candidates in the FC Barcelona elections are beginning to intensify following the club’s announcement that the upcoming elections will be held on March 15. Pre-candidate Xavier Vilajoana announced Jordi Codina Font and Jordi Collderram Torrens as the first members of his future board of directors, thereby laying the foundations of his team. With this first announcement, Vilajoana begins to outline his structure.
According to Vilajoana, the members of his future board “bring extensive knowledge in the management of large projects, construction, and infrastructure, a key factor in completing the Espai Barça with the necessary planning and rigor.”
The former executive pointed out that “the Espai Barça project has already cost this club too much, because Barça needs leaders capable of anticipating costs, timelines, and risks, and of managing them with discipline and transparency, not through improvisation,” he stated. He added in his statement that “the project is costing the club far more than initially budgeted, will displace members from their seats, and has compromised future assets.”
In this context, Vilajoana is putting together a future board capable of managing the club and responding to its members, ensuring that decisions regarding infrastructure and governance are made based on experience.
These are the first members of his program
Jordi Codina Font (Member No. 62,736) is an industrial engineer and entrepreneur. He is president of Nadico Industrial Management and Esport Club Granollers. Educated at UPC and ESADE, he has turned Nadico into a multinational group with operations in Spain and Morocco. He stands out for his leadership in sustainability and his social commitment as a trustee of the ONAT Foundation. A former player for EC Granollers, he brings experience in institutional management and strong ties to football.
Jordi Collderram Torrens (Member No. 93,412) is a professional in the real estate and business sectors in Barcelona. Educated at UAB and ESADE, he co-manages the family business COLLDERRAM and serves on several boards of directors, including FISA Rentals and Cartelina Cinco. He is a member of the Board of COAPI Barcelona and a professor of real estate law. He brings experience in institutional management, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
Xavier Vilajoana also noted that additional appointments will be announced in the coming weeks, all aimed at consolidating a qualified team with extensive experience. “We are not waiting for the elections to think about good governance. Barça cannot afford a lack of planning. We are preparing a management structure with experience, knowledge, and leadership capacity,” he concluded.
